College Basketball 2015, Week Six!

127The Spartans had a great week (and managed to ease back in to the top-25 at #25).  Michigan State was able to hit their shots, especially from behind the arc, in an easy win over Oakland on Sunday.  Only seven (7) of the AP top twenty-five (25) teams remain undefeated at this early stage of the season and the Big Ten Conference has four (4) teams currently ranked in the AP top-25: Wisconsin (#5), Ohio State (#12), Maryland (#17), and Michigan State (#25).  Next up for the Spartans this week, Eastern Michigan (tonight) and Texas Southern (Saturday).  Go Green!

The upsets among the top-25 this week included:
Butler (#15) losing to unranked Tennessee.
Northern Iowa (#23) losing to unranked VCU by six (6) points in double overtime.

The close calls (wins by six points or less [two scores]) among the top-25 this week included:
Kansas (#10) defeating unranked Georgetown by only five (5) points.
Kansas (#10) defeating Utah (#13) by only three (3) points.
Wichita State (#11) defeating unranked Alabama by only one (1) point.
Utah (#13) defeating unranked BYU by only four (4) points.
Washington (#17) defeating unranked Eastern Washington by only four (4) points.
San Diego State (#18) defeating unranked Long Beach State by only one (1) point.
West Virginia (#22) defeating unranked Marshall by only three (3) points.

The losses to higher-ranked teams among the top-25 this week included:
North Carolina (#21) losing to Kentucky (#1).
Utah (#13) losing to Kansas (#10) by only three (3) points.
