Platitudes!

Our friends at despair.com have done it again.  Here is another demotivator on platitudes.   But what exactly is a platitude?  Dictionary.com defines it as “a flat, dull, or trite remark, especially one uttered as if it were fresh or profound.”  Some of the common synonyms include: cliche, truism, bromide, stereotype, and commonplace. It sounds to me like the epitome of un-originality.
