College Basketball 2015, Week Fifteen!

127The Spartans took care of business at home against #23 Ohio State last weekend and then traveled to Michigan where they dominated from start to finish.  The Spartans remain tied with Maryland and Purdue for second place in the Big Ten behind the league leading Wisconsin Badgers.    The Wildcats of Kentucky remain the lone undefeated team in the AP top twenty-five (25) and the Big Ten Conference has 3 teams ranked in the top-25: Wisconsin (#5), Maryland (#16) and Ohio State (#24).  Next up for the Spartans this week, one game on the road against Illinois (Sunday).  Go Green!

The upsets among the top-25 this week included:
Kansas (#8) losing to West Virginia (#23).
Louisville (#9) losing to unranked NC State.
North Carolina (#12) losing to unranked Pittsburgh.
Oklahoma (#17) losing to unranked Kansas State by three (3) points.
VCU (#20) losing to unranked La Salle by five (5) points in double overtime.
Oklahoma State (#21) losing to unranked TCU.
Ohio State (#23) losing to unranked Michigan State by three (3) points.

The close calls (wins by six points or less [two scores] or in overtime) among the top-25 this week included:
Virginia (#2) defeating unranked Wake Forest by only one (1) point.
Virginia (#4) defeating unranked NC State by four (4) points.
Villanova (#6) defeating unranked Providence by six (6) points.
Villanova (#6) defeating Baylor (#18) by three (3) points.
Wichita State (#15) defeating unranked Illinois State by six (6) points.
Oklahoma (#17) defeating unranked Texas by only two (2) points.
Butler (#19) defeating unranked Creighton by only two (2) points.
Maryland (#19) defeating unranked Indiana by only two (2) points.
Maryland (#19) defeating unranked Penn State by three (3) points.
Baylor (#20) defeating unranked Texas Tech by four (5) points.
West Virginia (#21) defeating unranked Kansas State by four (4) points.
