College Basketball 2015, Week Seventeen!

127The Michigan State Spartans had a truly awful week!  First they lost at home in overtime to the Gophers of Minnesota, then they had to travel to league-leading Wisconsin where they fell to the Badgers.  Then with a couple more challenging games to close out the Big Ten schedule, followed by the Big Ten tournament, we could have well over ten losses before the season is over (bummer).   A bit disappointing, but we’ve been plagued by consistency problems all season.  The Wildcats of Kentucky, on the other hand, have been the model of consistency and remain the lone undefeated team in the AP top twenty-five (25); the Big Ten Conference has two teams ranked in the top-25: Wisconsin (#6), Maryland (#10), and Ohio State (#23).  Next up for the Spartans this week: at home against Purdue (tonight) and then on the road to finish the season against Indiana (Saturday).  Go Green!

The upsets among the top-25 this week included:
Gonzaga (#3) losing to unranked BYU by three (3) points.
