Obscured in the Darkness!

Growing up in northern lower Michigan, we had forests (deciduous and evergreen alike) where you could go and lose all track of time.  And it was amazing how much of the light was filtered by the dense canopies overhead.  Often I would find myself emerging from the tenebrific shadows of the forest into the bright glare of the day totally unaware of exactly how much time had passed..
