Trivia in the Kitchen, Number Fifty!

So, how aggravating is it to have leftover pizza (or quiche) that has a soggy crust?  Wouldn’t you love to reheat these foods in a way to achieve a crisp crust as if fresh from the oven?   As you may know from experience, reheating the item in the oven may tend to dry out the toppings or fillings, wrapping them in foil and reheating in the oven keeps them moist, but definitely ruins the crust, and microwaving will ruin the crust as well.  So, to achieve a better result for a crispy crust, try reheating the leftovers in a nonstick skillet or saute pan (without any oil) on low heat.  The crust will always get crisp and the toppings or fillings will not dry out!
