A Collector’s Portfolio, Part Six!

IMG_0750This painting is the sixth (in a series of eight) signed and numbered, limited edition (250) giclee prints from “The Art of Charles R. Murphy: a Collector’s Portfolio” that I acquired two summers ago, while vacationing in the Traverse City, Michigan area. This piece captures again effectively captures the tranquility of the summer dusks in Northern Michigan (Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties specifically).  On this print, I particularly like the light conditions of the pre-dark conditions — you can practically feel the humidity.  Ah, the memories.  The title: “Low Light on the Wetlands” the artist: Charles R. Murphy, the medium: giclee print, the enjoyment: on-going!

One Response to “A Collector’s Portfolio, Part Six!”

Neat!  I took a class in graphic design (years ago) and had a great time innovating with the tools in Photoshop, etc.  I liked making the graphics look Impressionistic like the image you’ve shown in this attachment, and did well in the class,( but ultimately decided to become a Youth Services Librarian.  Now, however, I’m out of work and hoping to stay in the field, but it gets ever more competitive in my area of the world.) Francine Joy Allen
