College Football 2015, Week Nine!

127The Spartans have a bye this week, but there will still be plenty of college football action this weekend, I just won’t be biting my fingernails or pulling out my hair.   Eleven of the top-25 teams remain unbeaten.  Ohio State was able to maintain their rank atop the top twenty-five and the Big Ten still has four teams represented (Ohio State [#1], Michigan State [#6], Iowa [#10]), and Michigan [#16].

Next up for the Spartans: on the road to Lincoln, Nebraska, in early November to face the Cornhuskers.  Go Green!

The upsets this week included:
Duke (#22) losing to unranked Miami by three (3) points.
Pittsburgh (#23) losing to unranked North Carolina.

The close calls this week (games that were won by a touchdown or less) included:
Stanford (#8) defeating unranked Washington State by two (2) points.
Notre Dame (#9) defeating Temple (#21) by four (4) points.
Michigan (#15) defeating unranked Minnesota by three (3) points.
UCLA (#24) defeating unranked Colorado by four (4) points.

Top-25 match-ups won by the higher-ranked team included:
Temple (#21) losing to Notre Dame (#9) by four (4) points.
