It’s championship week with numerous high-profile games being contested as the regular season draws to a close. Congratulations to Michigan State Spartans, the Champions of the Big Ten Conference! By defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Spartans should be guaranteed a place in the College Football Playoff (but we won’t find out officially until later today). This means that Clemson has survived as the only unbeaten team remaining. The Big Ten Conference has five teams in the latest CFP rankings (three of the top six): Iowa [#4], Michigan State [#5], Ohio State [#6], Northwestern [#14], and Michigan [#15], but following this weekend’s games, these ranking should be adjusted slightly.
Next up for the Spartans: the College Football Playoffs to possibly play either Clemson, Alabama, or Oklahoma. Go Green!
