College Basketball 2016, Week Fifteen!

127Well, the Spartans faced a huge challenge on the road at Purdue and came up one-point short (in overtime, after coming back from an 18-point 1st-half deficit).  So, three of the Spartan’s five losses have been by one point.  Wow.  But the Spartans were not the only team to lose this week — lots of  upsets among the top-25, and the Spartans bounced back on Sunday with a big home win against the Hoosiers of Indiana.  The Big Ten currently has five (5)  teams in the AP top-25: Iowa (#4), Maryland (#6),  Michigan State (#8), Purdue (#17) and Indiana (#22).

Next up for the Spartans: at home against the Badgers of Wisconsin (Thursday).  Go Green!

The upsets this week included:
Maryland (#2) losing to unranked Wisconsin.
Oklahoma (#3) losing to Kansas (#6) by four (4) points.
Iowa (#4) losing to unranked Indiana.
Xavier (#5) losing to unranked Creighton.
Virginia (#7) losing to unranked Duke by one (1) point.
Michigan State (#8) losing to Purdue (#18) by only one (1) point in overtime.
Oregon (#11) losing to unranked California.
Oregon (#11) losing to unranked Stanford by four (4) points.
Louisville (#13) losing to unranked Notre Dame by five (5) points.
Iowa State (#14) losing to unranked Texas Tech by three (3) points.
Texas A&M (#15) losing to unranked Alabama by one (1) point.
Texas A&M (#15) losing to unranked LSU by five (5) points.
SMU (#16) losing to unranked Tulsa  by five (5) points.
Purdue (#18) losing to unranked Michigan by five (5) points.
Providence (#20) losing to unranked Marquette by five (5) points in double overtime.
