Whipped Into Shape!

Having grown up in the Rink household in the sixties and early seventies, with strict disciplinarian parents, my brothers and I were certainly no strangers to trouble . . . the kind of trouble that required an occasional spanking (always well-deserved).  And while we were never struck with a quirt, we were more than well-acquainted with dad’s belt.

quirt

\ kwurt \, noun;

 a riding whip consisting of a short, stout stock and a lash of braided leather.
