Fever-Producing!

From The Highly Selective Dictionary of Golden Adjectives for the Extraordinarily Literate by Eugene Ehrlich, I ran across this new word (for me) . . . “My grandfather believed a strong shot of scotch, in which he saw febrifacient qualities, plus a protracted spell in bed did more to induce sweating and cure sickness than all other medicines known to man.”

febrifacient

\ feb-ruhfey-shuh nt \, adjective;

1.  producing fever.
noun
2.  something that produces fever.
