. . . and Oh, How Divine!

This has been an interesting exercise (a sort of “forced creativity”) that I’m not convinced has gone all that well.   But with one additional verse to go, I really can’t stop now.  So, onward and upward.  I doubt I will have a completely finished product by this time next week, but I gave it the old college try.  And while each and every verse (and refrain) may require tweaking, at least I have a starting point for the next phase of creativity.

In the middle of summer,
‘Neath the shade of some trees,
I reflect on my childhood,
In the cool blowing breeze.

A dream that won’t end,
Or disappear;
A dream that with offer you strength,
Year after year.

Of the days in the vineyard,
And the working til dark,
A sense of completion,
It wasn’t a lark.

A dream that won’t end,
Or disappear;
A dream that with offer you strength,
Year after year.
