College Football 2016, Week Five!

The upsets continue in college football, including the Michigan State Spartans who dropped another game in overtime to the Indiana Hoosiers.  This recent loss should see the Spartans’ exit from the top twenty-five.  The Big Ten should continue to have four teams in the top twenty-five  (Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, and Wisconsin).

Next up for the Spartans: at home against the Cougars of BYU.   Go Green!

The upsets this week included:
Louisville (#3) losing to Clemson (#5) by six (6) points..
Stanford (#7) losing to Washington (#10).
Florida State (#12) losing to unranked North Carolina by two (2) points.
Michigan State (#17) losing to the unranked Indiana by three (3) points in overtime.
Utah (#18) losing to unranked Cal by five (5) points.
San Diego State (#19) losing to unranked South Alabama.
TCU (#21) losing to unranked Oklahoma by six (6) points.
Texas (#22) losing to unranked Oklahoma State.

The close calls this week (games that were won by a touchdown or less) included:
Baylor (#13) defeating unranked Iowa State by three (3) points.
Florida (#23) defeating unranked Vanderbilt by seven (7) points.

Top-25 match-ups won by the higher-ranked team included:
Michigan (#4) defeating Wisconsin (#8) by seven (7) points.
Tennessee (#11) defeating Georgia (#25) by three (3) points.
