College Football 2016, Week Eleven!

The Spartans have finally won a Big Ten game today against Rutgers!  Woohoo!  Unfortunately, with Ohio State and Penn State the last two games of the season, it may be their only Big Ten victory . . . but I will remain hopeful.  After this weekend of upsets (five top-ten teams lost), there are now only two (2) teams who remain unbeaten (Alabama and Western Michigan). And while the Big Ten Conference has five teams in the CFP rankings (four in the top-10):   Michigan [#3], Ohio State [#5], Wisconsin [#7],  Penn State [#10], and Nebraska [#19], these should change a bit this week.

Next up for the Spartans: at home against the Buckeyes of Ohio State.   Go Green!

The upsets this week included:
Clemson (#2) losing to unranked Pittsburgh by one (1) point.
Michigan (#3) losing to unranked Iowa by one (1) point.
Washington (#4) losing to USC (#20)
Texas A&M (#8) losing to unranked Ole Miss by one (1) point.
Auburn (#9) losing to unranked Georgia by six (6) points.
Virginia Tech (#14) losing to unranked Georgia Tech.
North Carolina (#17) losing to unranked Duke by one (1) point.

The close calls this week (games that were won by a touchdown or less) included:
Oklahoma State (#13) defeating unranked Texas Tech by one (1) point.
West Virginia (#16) defeating unranked Texas by four (4) points.
Nebraska (#19) defeating unranked Minnesota by seven (7) points.

Top-25 match-ups won by the higher-ranked team included:
LSU (#24) defeating Arkansas (#25).
