About a week ago, a friend of mine provided me with a choral arrangement from the King’s Singers Choral Series of “You Are the New Day,” by John David (arranged by Peter Knight). A beautiful a cappella piece for SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass). Well this afternoon, I received a phone call to see if I would be able to meet this evening to begin rehearsing . . .
So, despite having to work later than normal (tonight was my night to work late), we were still able to get together around my piano for a quick hashing out of some notes. This is going to be a great piece when it is finally “performance-ready.”
We’re not there yet, but here’s a glimpse of where we hope to be . . . eventually (:-)
