What Am I Waiting For?
July 16, 2012Hodgepodge of Advice?
September 30, 2011I ran across the below quotation earlier this week (by an unknown author) and liked it immediately. I also took the time to ponder each individual phrase and attempted to discern how my life reflects each phrase. My determination: I could buy into some of them more fully, but overall, I think I’m doing okay.
Without risk (taking chances), life would be pretty boring (I could certainly improve a bit in this department). Never regret something you’ve done (save regret for those things that you didn’t do but that you wish you’d done). Things do go wrong (all the time), but time marches on and waits for no one. There is a much bigger plan out there than what I have envisioned for my life . . . sometimes you just have to “let go” and let it unfold!
Love to the fullest and you will find true happiness in life.
Sometimes things weren’t meant to be.
Where’s All the Spare Time?
October 9, 2009Some late-week musings, as we rapidly approach yet another weekend . . . where has the week gone? Busy people understand this concept better than anyone (see the first quotation)! But at the same “time,” you must always be careful not to fill your time so completely, that you fail to enjoy life (see the second quotation).
“You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.” — Charles Buxton
“Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think.” — Horace
